Every photo I deliver to my clients goes through a careful, systematic and impactful editing process. Editing is an essential tool for me, it's as important as photography itself and one can not exist without the other.
Colour correction, brightness / contrast adjustments, image sharpening and cropping / resizing are all standard business but it goes deeper than that. Sometimes, even the best photos can have technical flaws or imperfections such as dust spots, lens distortions or blemishes but more often unwanted elements can become distractions. Removing a distracting element from the background or replacing it with a more suitable one can help to draw the viewer's attention to the subject of the image.
How about changing a daytime worksite to night time or replacing a logo on a hardhat or adding safety equipment that just needs to be part of the scene? These are just a few examples and possibilities that can be achieved through serious editing for your business.
See more information below about other editing tools I use.

COMPOSITE PHOTOGRAPHY combined with HDR is my favourite! As an artist, the potential to create unique compositions is limitless. It is a powerful tool that allows me to create images that would be impossible to capture in a single shot.
Composite photography is a technique that involves combining multiple photographs created in different locations at different times to create a single cohesive piece. My process typically involves using photo editing software to merge the various images while using HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography and processing at the same time.
HDR photography is a technique used to capture a wider range of tonal information in a photograph than is possible with a single exposure. This is achieved by combining multiple photographs of the same scene, taken at different exposure levels, into a single image.

Another of my faves is LONG EXPOSURE PHOTOGRAPHY.
This process is used to capture an image over an extended period of time, typically using a shutter speed of several seconds but usually several minutes using neutral density filters. This technique is often used to create images with unique and striking effects such as blurring motion, smoothing bodies of water, creating dramatic skies, capturing light trails, or creating a sense of movement in a static scene. I sometimes use this process to create architectural and landscape photography.
The city of Toronto photo below was created on a sunny morning using a 10 stop neutral density filter with a 5 minute exposure.
